But W Barnett Agency is more than a brokerage. It was built to solve a problem that is deeply personal to its founder. Growing up in the south suburbs of Chicago, Warren Barnett watched community members pass away without any financial plan in place. He watched families lose everything. He watched his own family lose a home and land because no one had the right structures around what they had built. Those experiences are the reason this business exists.
The agency's core mission is to bring generational wealth strategies to communities that have historically been locked out of them. That means meeting people where they are, explaining how life insurance works as more than just a death benefit, and helping families understand how tools like trusts can create legal, tax-advantaged structures that protect and pass down what they build. The majority of the agency's work, roughly 80 percent, focuses on personal lines with life insurance at the center. The remaining 20 percent serves small commercial clients in the same communities.
